Dead Heroes Club are the only prog band local to me.

They are worthy to attention. I liked their debut self-titled album.

Prog in Texas, but of course there is  . And FIRST CLASS I would like to add    .

TU - Mastelotto, Gunn (both from Texas)
TUNER - Mastelotto, Reuter (=half Texan)
KTU - Mastelotto, Gunn, Kosminen, Pohjonen (=half Texan)

Plus of course other projects and solo projects by Pat Mastelotto and Trey Gunn  .

Whereabouts? Its a BIG state!  All I've seen in the DFW area are some really hot country bands (unfortunately that do not float my boat) and some pretty bad 80's tribute style bands.  - oh yea, and  billions of "Skynnyrd!!!!"  Bar bands...

Tell me where they are, and I will seek them.... :headbang:

Well Mudder, I do not know about their actions in Texas really. I guess you know these two guys are from King Crimson and doing a lot of other projects, too. Perhaps you could find relevant information on their web pages. On Pat Mastelotto web page it was saying for early 2006 that they are playing in Austria, Canada and Slovenia with KTU. The web pages are: www.patmastelotto.com and www.treygunn.com.

There ain't anyone worth mentioning in Delhi... just men who wear tight white trousers and grind their crotches and women who caterwaul while managing to fall out of their clothes  :beatdeadhorse: :whip: :swords: :mad6: :dead: :justyouwait:
"Gamma, help me". my younger grandson said in imperious tones! He wanted me to put in my password  and unlock my phone so he could play with it!

Prog in Texas
why yes of course
as Gany has said you have Pat Mastelotto and Trey Gunn (I think they are based out of Austin not for sure so don't quote me on that one)
Mars Volta and Little Kings from El Paso
I hear the DFW area has a nice little scene going and you also have Atomic Opera and King's X if you call them progressive in the Katy area of Houston which is where I am moving to
mom only lives two miles from katy even though she lives in houston . which is really 25 miles
away.

well i live in a portuguese island  :shark: where we don't really have access to many bands except for the most famous and comercial.
There are a couple of good portuguese bands but they're not the most creative, at least not that i've heard of  :gruebel:
And i´ve never ever seen a good live concert because no good bands come to such a distant place. Roger Waters is coming to Rock in Rio :woohoo: but i could never go to lisbon :fly: to see him :hangit: it's really not fair.
